Dora Witte - Bio
A children's fashion designer, Dora Witte was born in Warsaw, Poland where at an early age her Grandmother taught her to knit the most fascinating and colorful patterns. She spent a lot of time as a child at her Grandmother's country house knitting and learning to paint the beautiful Polish countryside. The majority of her time was spent in the city with season passes to the ballet and opera with her parents which she absolutely adores until today. All of these creative outlets and her fascination with the rich, layered costumes and exotic designs started at an early age and put her on a path to fashion university.

She followed her dream and moved to France to study fashion design. Living in Montmartre, Paris just steps away from the famous Salvador Dali and Picasso paint studios, she attended the 1841 established Parisian fashion university ESMOD, l'Ecole Superieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode and graduated in 2000 with a focus on children's fashion. Her first role out of university was as intern in Givenchy's fashion house in Paris and she quickly followed that up by joining the baby design team for the prestigious Burberry in 2001. While loving her life and experiences in Paris, Dora has always been inspired by the Big Apple with a dream to live in the city that never sleeps. She packed her bags and moved to New York by herself and has spent the past 13 years designing children's clothing and accessories for several well known brands like Gap Kids, Old Navy and Oshkosh B'Gosh. Her designs have been popular sellers and have been published in a variety of fashion magazines all over the United States.

Dora defines her style as a Bohemian lux, part gypsy, part holiday by the sea. She adores colors, volume, layers and texture. Her designs are a natural extension of her past growing up in the rich folk culture of Eastern Europe, her magical and awe inspiring years in Paris, and the energy of New York City.
